Course Summary:
Water and indoor air quality is a top concern for buyers and sellers in real estate transactions. Variables for quality that affect the comfort and health of occupants can play an important role in whether or not a real estate transaction will close. The implications of poor indoor air or water can affect all transactions, including sales, rentals, or leases. This course aims to educate real estate agents on the basics of indoor air and water quality so they can better assist their clients through the transaction process.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Define indoor air quality and water quality as it related to real estate transactions.
List and explain common pollutants/contaminants found in indoor air and residential water.
List and define the benefits, health hazards and impacts of having clean residential water and indoor air.
Explain common testing methods for indoor air and residential water.
Discuss the implications of having poor indoor air or water quality during a real estate transaction.
